Cela fait des mois que le support pour Unreal Tournament III traîne dans les locaux d' Epic Games, mais là, c'est pour bientôt. except the shockrifle obviously). On ne l'attendait plus. I'm speaking mainly about some weapon models : the rocket launcher and the shockrifle, which seem to be, in UT3, rounder and more detailed versions of those in UC2, and have very little to do with those of UT2004 (which are more true to UT99. However, if this really happened this way, I wonder to what extent all the content of UT3 which seems so very similar to that of UC2 is not actually taken/modified from there. It could easily be one of the model used in some tech demo we never saw. Yet I don't see why this character would be for GOW. ![]() What assets exactly are in UT2004 ? I would have thought that they used UT2004 assets in GOW and not the other way round, given the years they were released.Īnd then they spat UT2003 in the blink of an eye. This must mean they had GOW in the making for yeaaaaars. Interesting stuff, can I have a link ? I always saw UW used as a pre-releaseUT2003, since the term emerged in these days. Well, I don't recall at all since I never go to BeyondUnreal. No blood, lighting features absent, limited effects. ini and brought up the resolution to 1920x1200 without issue, but still looks pretty beta indeed. 5 maps, 3 gametypes, D3D only, very limited. In game, the characters appear fine, just on the menus they are like shadows. The character selection menu is only question marks, but the background data on the character is there. Not sure about the legality of it all though.the "private and confidential" thing at the top of the screen probably means.something that may get this place in some trouble? Dunno.but if it is ok, I have no way of hosting it but would be happy to upload it somewhere.įile dates are all (I think that is when I grabbed it) and it plays well enough (Win7, 64 bit, 7850), though it has no skins on the limited playable characters they are just black in the menus you can reach by zooming into the planets on the "database" screen. Not sure if it violates the TOS, but I have zipped it up tight to 270MB (480 expanded) and would be happy to share it. Yeah, a sweet grab at the time, though I can't recall at all where I got it. If anyone still has the beta, please upload it somewhere and PM me. Has way less maps, and one of the people that once had it, described the sounds of weapons as "terrible". I can send out PMs to anyone interested.Īlso, from what I know, there is one more beta of UT out there. Now, whoever wants to test this beta, PM me. Thanks to these two, I managed to recreate the original installer and thus an ISO was created. Thanks to efforts of OU Members CZroe and Bane I've recently managed to turn the RIP version of UT Beta back to the original ISO. The maps from classic Unreal, the Creative/3DFX maps and Fusion. After reading a beta review in Polish edition of PC Games (4/99), I found out what was ripped. The CD itself was imported from Russia and it contained a stripped down version of the beta. ![]() The first archive I received was on a CD I bought on a Polish bazaar, name of which can be translated into English as the Decade Stadium. The logo map is a real wonder - a gold rotating stylized U on a blue background. It also contains trace of a never-finished gametype "Command Control", description of which can be found through UnrealEd. This version, based on the 222 build of Unreal engine, contains ~80% of the final game's mappage, slightly different, two or three maps totally different and two skins that didn't make it to the final release. It is time, that I reminded the OldUnreal community of an unique gem in Unreal history that is Unreal Tournament Beta.
